Moosheen is how you say mushin (無心), a Zen idea at the heart of the martial arts. It means “no mind”: acting clearly and in the moment, without overthinking.
The ensō in our logo, a circle painted in a single brushstroke, comes from the same tradition.
We make games that are easy to pick up and play. Family friendly, multiplayer when we can manage it, and built to give you a moment away from everything else. Sometimes that means challenging yourself with something fun. Sometimes it just means sharing a few minutes with the people around you.
We launched recently with Pass the Remote!, an Apple TV game built around the Siri Remote. No extra controllers to buy, no phone to connect, just pick up the remote that came with your Apple TV and play. We built it because we noticed younger kids often don’t have a phone to join in with, and older adults don’t always want to fuss with theirs. There was a real need for pick up and play games with friends and family on Apple TV, so we made one.
Coming this Christmas is our first iPhone and iPad game, with an Apple TV version too, featuring our original character Fletch the Elf Archer. Fletch is a lovable elf from Thistlewood with a knack for archery who goes on adventures as he masters new skills. The gameplay is inspired by Bow and Arrow, a game we played as kids on Windows 3.1. You progress through levels, each with its own mix of hordes, puzzles, bosses, and skill shots, all using the same simple movement and controls.
We have lots of ideas and plans for Moosheen, including more Apple TV games and iPhone apps.
